Oat Apple Breakfast Bars made with Truvia Low-Kilojoule Spoonable Jar

These Oat Apple Breakfast Bars are a perfect marriage of hearty oat goodness with delicious sweet apples! Made with Truvia Low-Kilojoule Spoonable Jar, they make a delicious on-the-go breakfast.

  • 200g Rolled Oats

  • 230g Wholemeal plain flour

  • 1 tbsp Honey

  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon

  • 170g Unsalted butter

  • 12 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 30g Truvia Low-Kilojoule Sweetener



  • 1.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and line the bottom of a baking 30cm x 20cm tin.

  • 2.

    Place all of the ingredients for the oat topping into a large bowl and mix using a free standing or hand held mixer on a low speed for 1-2 minutes until it is evenly mixed and resembles breadcrumbs.

  • 3.

    Place 23 of the oat mixture into the lined baking tray and press down to create a base.

  • 4.

    Peel and core the eating apples and chop roughly before adding to a food processor with the remaining ingredients for the apple filling. Blitz until the apple is finely diced.

  • 5.

    Spread the apple filling over the oat mix base.

  • 6.

    Top with the remaining oat mixture and gently press down. Sprinkle with mixed nuts if desired.

  • 7.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 mins until golden.

  • 8.

    Cut into squares and enjoy still warm or allow to cool.
